Built on the former Phoenix Mills textile site, the complex was transformed in the 1990s and early 2000s into one of India’s earliest large mall developments. High Street Phoenix opened in 1996; later the luxury Palladium wing added high-end international labels. The project symbolises Mumbai’s shift from textile mills to services, retail and corporate offices.
