Dudhsagar Falls

About this place

Dudhsagar is Goa’s most iconic waterfall—massive, multi-tiered, and surrounded by thick forest that makes the whole experience feel epic and cinematic. The “sea of milk” look, especially in monsoon and post-monsoon, turns it into a true bucket-list nature stop. Visitors come for the roar of water, the green valley views, and the sense of being deep inside the Western Ghats landscape rather than in coastal Goa.

History & highlights

Dudhsagar Falls is located within the Bhagwan Mahaveer Sanctuary and Mollem National Park landscape, and it is widely described as one of India’s tallest waterfalls (often cited around 310–320 m). Its location on a major rail route and inside a protected area explains why it became famous both for natural beauty and for the dramatic “waterfall + wilderness” travel experience.
