Nexus Treasure Island .Indore has a strong mall culture. Nexus Treasure Island (TI) on MG Road is one of the oldest and most popular malls with fashion brands, multiplex and food court; C21 Mall on AB Road adds more premium retail and cinema; Phoenix Citadel, a newer large-format mall, brings high-end brands, big atriums and events. Together they make Indore the shopping capital of Madhya Pradesh, attracting visitors from smaller towns who come for branded shopping and leisure.

From the mid-2000s onwards, Indore led the state in modern retail. Malls like Treasure Island were among the first in MP to introduce combined shopping–cinema–food court experiences. As the city’s IT, education and service sectors grew, newer properties like Phoenix Citadel and Nexus Indore Central were developed, keeping Indore at the top of MP’s retail hierarchy. Today the city consistently ranks highest in the state for organised mall space and footfalls.
