Serlui B Lake

About this place

Serlui B Lake is a scenic, man-made water body surrounded by green hills and quiet forest edges. It feels like a long natural lake, perfect for relaxed sightseeing, photography, and short picnic stops. Many travellers enjoy the calm water views from nearby routes, and the area is often described as one of Kolasib’s most refreshing nature escapes.

History & highlights

The lake was formed due to the Serlui Hydel Project—the dam created a long stretch of inundated valley that became Serlui B Lake (often described as around 53 km in length and visible along NH-54). The site later gained attention as a tourism spot with scope for recreation and water-based activities.
