Seven Wonders Park (Mini World Monuments)

Seven Wonders Park (Mini World Monuments)

About this place

On the edge of Kishore Sagar, Seven Wonders Park gathers miniature versions of the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Great Pyramid of Giza, Christ the Redeemer and the Colosseum in one landscaped area. Walking around the park you can photograph each “wonder” with the lake behind it, especially at sunset when the water and models glow in warm light. For families and students it’s a fun, easy-access attraction; for photographers it’s a quirky contrast to Kota’s historic palaces and ghats.

History & highlights

Seven Wonders Park is a recent creation of the Kota Urban Improvement Trust and municipal authorities (21st century), built to reuse lakefront land and create a new public recreation space. The concept followed a broader trend in Indian cities of building “mini world monuments” parks for local tourism and selfie culture. Because it sits next to Kishore Sagar and near older colonial-era gardens, the park visually links Kota’s older royal landscape with contemporary urban entertainment planning.
