Shri Ramakrishna Ashrama on Dr Yagnik Road is a serene spiritual campus dedicated to Sri Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Holy Mother Sarada Devi. The complex includes the Universal Temple, a quiet prayer hall for meditation, a well-stocked library, bookshop and Ayurvedic/medical services. History & highlights

The Ashrama was formally established in 1927, after Swami Madhavananda’s visit to Rajkot in 1926, and became the first Ramakrishna centre in Gujarat. Initially housed in a small rented premises, it later expanded to its present campus on Yagnik Road. From its early years it has been active in relief work, education, publication of Gujarati Ramakrishna–Vivekananda literature, and medical service, working as a branch of the worldwide Ramakrishna Math & Mission. The ashrama has since celebrated its platinum jubilee and continues to be an important spiritual and service institution for Saurashtra.
